OUR STORY

We aim to provide you with the most magical Christmas experience year on year. We're proud to have illuminated the winter darkness since 2019 bringing together families and friends of all ages to celebrate in light. We take special care to provide a fantastic experience by carefully designing our routes with hand-crafted lanterns, lights installations, 3D projections and water shows. Each year we build a new theme with our light artists with the aim of taking you on a dazzling fairy tale journey. We hope you enjoy our trails as much as we enjoy curating them for you.

OUR VISION

Lightopia was created with the hope of bringing a culturally rich, highly entertaining and immersive experience to everyone, every Christmas. Our concept from the beginning was to mix the old with the new; bringing traditional craftsmanship steeped in a 2000-year rich heritage, and combining state-of-the-art light technology to light up the night sky.

OUR FUTURE

Lightopia has become the go-to place during Christmas time. We are currently opening our doors in cities around the UK, but our future plan is to expand at a worldwide scale - for everyone to have the chance to experience Lightopia Festival and get to walk through our themed illuminated trails.

LIGHTOPIA AWARDS

After years of hard work and dedication, in 2021 Lightopia received 8 awards on the 11th edition of the Global Eventex Awards; 5 gold and 3 silver. In addition, in 2020 it also received the City Life Award for best art exhibition or the event. All winners have been chosen among a total of 561 entries from 37 countries from around the world and including the world's best companies such as Google, Youtube, Rolls Royce, Mercedes-Benz, Samsung, etc.
